Tips for Inviting New Group Members

• If you don’t know the neighbor or co-worker well, take the time to go meet
with them to learn more about them. Remember to just be yourself.
• Indicate that you’re planning to have a group of friends and neighbors meet at
your home on ____________(day of week) for an eight-week study. This
study will give you real answers on how to experience the joy in your lives
that God wants you to have by healing our hurts.
• If you sense that they’re interested, share a little more about the study. Let
them know some of the topics it will cover, such as:
o To understand and be able to release hurts from your past
o To heal from painful relationships
o To forgive and ask others for forgiveness
o To apply God’s truths to your everyday decision-making
o To develop new lifetime habits through several components that include:
small group studies, e-mail devotions, weekly messages and Bible
verses, a book for independent reading, and more!
o To build a healthy foundation for lasting change
o To create goals that foster habits that will endure
• If they’re considering joining the group, give them your phone number and
let them know they can contact you with any other questions.
• Discuss childcare arrangements and options if necessary.
• Ask them if you can pray for them. (You’ll be surprised how positively people
respond to this).
• Give them a follow-up call or e-mail a few days letter, letting them know you
enjoyed talking with them and hope they’ll get a chance to visit your group.
• End with an inviting closing such as “I can’t wait to have you in my home,”
“I’m looking forward to you joining us,” or “Please feel free to come if you
change your mind.”
Life’s Healing Choices

Do you have any hurts, hang up or habits you would like to do something with? We have the small groups for you beginning January 24th. There will be small groups meeting on Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Wednesday evening and other days during the week. We want to encourage everyone to get into a small group for three reasons. First is to find help in dealing with the hurts, hang ups or habits we have that we want to do something about. Second, it connects us with others who are trying to do the same thing. And last but not least you will feel a part of what everyone else is doing at Fleetwood. Bro. Rick will preaching beginning on January 24th for eight weeks on “Life Healing Choices”. Did you know that you could make a choice today to find healing in your life?
